Summer Happenings

Hello from the girls at The Design Atelier!! We hope everyone has enjoyed their summers. We have been pretty busy installing several large projects - two being here in Atlanta, one in North Carolina, and one in South Carolina.

Here are a few pictures from each project that we have been working on from this summer. Excuse the iPhone photos, we are working to get higher quality images of each project soon!

First is a penthouse in the heart of Buckhead that we renovated with Berndsen Custom Homes. This sweet couple have wonderful art and antiques collections. They were such a joy to work with!  Here are some "sneak peek" pictures from their unit! Kitchen design by Mary Kathryn Timoney of Design Galleria.

Next, is a recently installed residence in Brookhaven. It is always so fun when a client's taste perfectly aligns with ours... neutrals, texture, and Bungalow Classic.  We loved getting to know this family, and helping them make their new house a home.

Next, is the cabin in Highlands, North Carolina. We had done their house in Atlanta and they asked if we could help with their home in Highlands. This family has loved hiking the surrounding trails for years and wanted a home that took advantage of all of the breath-taking views. The result is an absolutely beautiful home that will cultivate memories for years to come. Architectural work done by Stan Dixon.

The last project has been in the works for the past year and a half, a hunting cabin in Stoneboro, South Carolina. The husband, along with their four boys, love to hunt. In addition to needing a place to hang their muddy boots, the family wanted a house that would provide a retreat from the outside world. You might remember this from our South Carolina site visit! Architectural work by Summerour and Associates.

It has been a full summer indeed. Each project has been equally enjoyable and fulfilling- we've loved getting to create wonderful spaces for each family. We are looking forward to what lies ahead in the fall!

Till next time,
